1932 Alvis 12-60 Beetleback

Coachwork by Carbodies.  Just over 100 of this model were built.  About a dozen are listed in the Alvis Owners Club Register. It is thought that only three are in this country.  The 1645 cc 4-cylinder engine and 4-speed gearbox will move this car up to about 80 mph.  This example has been in Canada for nearly 20 years.  Prior to that, in England, quite a bit of restoration work had been done.  There is still more to do to make this a show-quality car, but it is usable and tour-worthy as it is.  $45,000
